Sugata Mitra's Experiments in self-teaching

If you gave children a computer who had never seen one.. what would they do?

Mr. Mitra did just that, gave computer's to children in areas around the world.

So what happened?

Absolutely amazing, stunning, mind-blowing, it is a must watch

But what does it mean now that we have seen this, understand what this mean? Maria Montessori was a proponent of removing constraining desks from the educational system and providing hands on active and interesting touchable learning... it worked and still continues to be the greatest early educational programs that exist today.

If children, instead of being given sandpaper letters on wood blocks to finger trace and various other touchable educational objects with free time to run around the classroom and spend time learning that which the children are most interested in or were in the early 1900's when she was re-inventing early education... if instead.. tablets were used and the classroom was as large as the denoted online learning space, would not children have never ending questions that they answer? but why? but why?

There is an answer. The education suggested is in qualifying sources and focusing thoughts positively.

It is the idea that teachers are facilitators rather than fact givers.
